Osseointegration is the use of titanium implants that "bonds" with the bone to allow the use of magnets or a "bar" and clip system to hold a prosthesis in place, replacing various adhesives. It is a surgical procedure that requires several stages before a prosthesis can be fit with that form of retention.

A bar and clip system as seen in this series is more commonly used.
Preat "pin" system photos
The Preat system uses pins that lock into a miniature rubber "doughnut" fitting.
The finished prosthesis can be held in place without adhesives but have greater security
The abutments are very small "ball in socket" fittings in this closeup.
Close up of a magnetic retention system for a nasal prosthesis
A nose prosthesis can be held in place with either adhesive or a bone anchored system that uses either clips or magnets. Genesis can fit for any of these methods of retention.
